NO BALLOONS – NO GLASS INCLUDING VASES
Ellie Caulkins Opera House does not allow any balloons or glass inside their facilities. Please do NOT bring any of those items, you will not be allowed to bring them inside.

GRADUATION INFORMATION

Class of 2023

Graduation Rehearsal @ 8:30 a.m.  BE AT MHS AT 8:00 A.M.

  • GRADUATION REHEARSAL IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CEREMONY.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
    • Thursday, May 18th 2023.  BE AT MHS NO LATER THAN 8:00 a.m.  
    • Wear appropriate casual clothing.
    • You will receive your cap and gown immediately following rehearsal.  IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND REHEARSAL, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR CAP AND GOWN AND WILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE CEREMONY.

Graduation Exercises @ 10:00 a.m.

  • Located at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House (1400 Curtis Street, Denver, CO 80202)
  • Graduates must arrive no later than 8:00 a.m. to prepare for the ceremony.
  • Bring your cap, tassel, and gown!!  You CAN’T walk if you do not have your cap and gown!!

WHAT TO WEAR:

  • All students MUST dress appropriately.  This is a formal event.  The following items of clothing are not allowed:
    • T-shirts;
    • Athletic shoes;
    • Jeans;
    • Tank Tops;
    • Flip flops;
    • Please do not wear shoes with extremely high heels (4 inches or more).  The stairs and stage are slippery!
  • Please do not bring or wear:
    • Sunglasses;
    • Coats;
    • Purses/bags;
    • Cell phones;
    • Ellie Caulkins does not allow caps to be decorated.  You will not be allowed to walk if your cap is decorated.  
  • You must arrive no later than 8:00 a.m.  If you are late, you risk not walking in the ceremony;  The ceremony begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. 

DO NOT FORGET!

  • Your cap, tassel, and gown to graduation ceremonies.
  • Tassels should be on the right-hand side of the cap.
  • This is a formal ceremony to celebrate all of the hard work you have invested.  Please make sure your behavior is appropriate during the entire ceremony so that all families can enjoy and celebrate your success!
  • The junior escorts (the student’s in the silver gowns), will help you and guide you through the ceremony.  Please pay attention to them for directions.
