MHS 9th Grade Academy (NGA) for the 2026-27 school year, will be on Monday, August 10th through Friday, August 14th. NGA will be held from 8:00AM – 2:40PM, Monday through Thursday, and 8:00AM – 11:30AM on Friday, culminating in a Rising Warrior Celebration on Friday, where we will invite all of our incoming parents and guardians to a showcase of Montbello High School and all of the the educational outcomes from NGA.
9th Grade Academy is designed for incoming 9th grade students to get a strong, head start on their high school careers and courses. Students will be able to build strong connections with other students, teachers and staff, meet their LINK Leaders and engage in community building. Each student will earn .5 elective credits towards graduation, just for attending!
Participation in 9th Grade Academy is required for all incoming freshmen.

La Academia de 9.º Grado (NGA) de MHS para el año escolar 2026-27 se llevará a cabo desde el lunes 10 de agosto hasta el viernes 14 de agosto. La NGA se realizará de 8:00 a. m. a 2:40 p. m., de lunes a jueves, y de 8:00 a. m. a 11:30 a. m. el viernes, culminando con una «Celebración del Guerrero Emergente» (Rising Warrior Celebration) ese mismo viernes; en este evento, invitaremos a todos los padres y tutores de los estudiantes de nuevo ingreso a una presentación de Montbello High School y de todos los logros educativos alcanzados durante la NGA.
La Academia de 9.º Grado está diseñada para que los estudiantes que ingresan a este nivel obtengan una ventaja sólida y un excelente comienzo en su trayectoria y cursos de la escuela secundaria. Los estudiantes podrán establecer vínculos fuertes con otros compañeros, maestros y el personal escolar, conocer a sus Líderes LINK y participar en actividades de construcción de comunidad. ¡Cada estudiante obtendrá 0.5 créditos electivos válidos para su graduación, simplemente por asistir!
La participación en la Academia de 9.º Grado es obligatoria para todos los estudiantes de primer año (freshmen) de nuevo ingreso.
